The project and its requirements

The industrial city of Jizan near the Red Sea needs protection from seasonal heavy rainfall. The project includes a flood control channel approximately 23 kilometres long.

How the reinforcement was used

MateenBar™ and specially shaped bars were used in concrete slabs and expansion details. The channel has a design service life of 100 years.
