LOAD TRANSFER

Dowels for concrete slab joints.

Transfer between slabs

GFRP dowels are intended for load transfer between concrete slabs.

Low thermal conductivity

Thermal conductivity <1 W/(m·°C).

Electrical resistance

Electrical resistivity >200 × 10¹⁰ Ω·m.

Simpler preparation

Dowels do not need greasing, and cut ends do not need sealing.

Dowel selection is based on joint design and loading.

01 / LONGITUDINAL SHEAR

ASTM D4475

Average ultimate short-beam test value is 50 MPa for all listed diameters.

02 / TRANSVERSE SHEAR

ASTM D7617

Average ultimate double-shear test value is 160 MPa.
